This is part two of my S.T.E.A.M. presentation. My friends and I have been preparing for more than a month, and all that hard work really paid off at the meeting. We practiced what each of us were going to say, and how we were going to execute the whole thing. When we finished our script, each of had two lengthy lines. We also had to make a video for our presentation. One friend and I worked on making sure we have the right kind of footage that we need. Then, all of us met up and worked on the actual video. We couldn’t finish on Friday, so our teacher had me take it home over the weekend to work on it and finish it if possible. I did finish it and my teacher edited it a little. The video was amazing, but that was the day we were presenting. Monday, December 12, 2016, the moment, of truth.
I was super excited for the meeting. It was at 6:00 in the evening, so I had time to eat and do homework before I had to go. I had to get there by 5:50. I got there on time and the meeting began. The President of the board was leading, but my principle said that I would be leading everyone in the pledge. I was really happy that I got to do it. I’m the president of our AV Student Council, so I that’s why I got to lead everyone.
After we all did the pledge, the president began talking a little. But soon after, the room was facing us. We began by saying our names. The we started our actual presentation. Line, after line, after line. Then we showed the video. Then more lines. My lines. At one point, we went over to the board members and we showed them a close up of the Makey Makey. We showed them our badges and all that. They loved it. My last line was the closing. Once our presentation ended, we all got certificates from the board.
Two new board members were joining, so after the meeting, there was CAKE! And we all got a piece of it! It was super yummy! I had a really fun time presenting with my friends.
