Last Friday, I got to go to the Jelly Belly Jelly Bean Factory! It was so much fun! I went with my family. Sadly, we couldn’t bring our dog, but he was happy at home.
We had to drive for 90 minutes to get there, but we were happy we did. The last time we had gone there, I was 3 or 4. I don’t even remember what we did, or what we saw. So when we went this time, I really enjoyed it. It almost felt like I had never been there before, even though I had. We left home at around 9 o’clock. We didn’t have breakfast, so the first thing we did when we got there was eat a nice big brunch. After eating, we did the tour of the factory.
When you’re doing the tour, you are on a second level, and you can see everything that the workers are doing below. They also added cool feature to their tour. They added a bunch of TVs throughout the tour. You can watch them and they will explain to you each step of the jelly bean making process. It was really cool.
After the fabulous tour, we did some candy shopping. My brother, my mom, and I, all got to fill a bag of candy to 0.25 lb. I picked four flavors: Tutti-Fruitti, Lemon Lime, Sunkist Lemon, & Peach. My flavors all tasted delish! There was also a sample station. You could try three flavors for free. I tried Watermelon, Pina Colada (Pineapple), and Green Apple. They all tasted amazing! Before I got my samples I went to the bathroom. So did mom. My brother and my dad both got a Barf flavored jelly bean from the sample station, and when my mom and I got back from the bathroom, they gave those saying it’s a peach. My mom thought it was a peach and ate. Lucky for me, I decided to eat all my beans at the end together. So I saved mine, and in the meantime mom ate her barf one and told me about it. So I didn’t have to eat. I was funny mad at my brother and my dad.
Here are some pictures of what we saw:
