On September 9, 2017, I got to play my first soccer game of the season. My team’s color is grey, and we got to pick our team name. We picked the name Timber Wolves. Because wolves are grey. We’ve had 4 practices before our game, which is always on Saturday. Our practices are on Tuesday and Thursday.
On game day, we were playing against a team, called the Jaguars. They’re team color was neon green. My team and I didn’t get what jaguars had to do with neon green, but it was they’re team name, so we respected their decision.
In the first half of the game, I played defense. In the second half, I played goalie. I don’t mean to brag about my team, but they’re really good. We made 4 goals, in just the first half! Then in the second half, when we were exhausted, we still managed to make one more goal. When I was goalie in the second half, my stomach started hurting. So the other team ended up making one goal in the second half. But they didn’t make any more before or after that.
During half time, one of the moms brought us some very juicy and delicious oranges. But I ate a little too many, which is why my stomach started hurting. But it was okay, we only had a few more minutes left of he game when my stomach was hurting a lot, so I just tried to bare it for a few more minutes. After the game, the same mom who brought us oranges, also brought us some snack packs and juice pouches. We snacked away as our coach told us how happy and proud he was. The final score was 5-1, and you can guess who won the game.
If you didn’t already figure it out, it was us.
We had won our first game of the season! It was very fun to play out there with my team, and it also felt really good to go home and rest. We were all drained.
I may also get the opportunity to make some custom hair ties for my team. Other parents have done this for me in the past years. So I thought it would be cool if my mom and I do it this year. My mom likes the idea as well.
We had won our first game, and hopefully we’ll win many more!
After the game, I got to rest for a little bit, and then my mom ans I were going to a friend’s sitar recital. It was super cool. She played constantly for a couple of hours. And it was amazing. I was so tired, that I fell asleep for a little bit during the concert, but then i woke up for the finale. It was very beautiful. We had gotten her a gift too. It was a necklace that had a pendant that said “She believed she could so she did”. It was really cute. Along with that we gave her a gift card, and a little greeting card. In the hall, there was a book for her that you could sign, to send her your best wished. We each signed that as well.
When we came home, my dad and my brother were at home. They had gone out for a workshop. After my mom and I changed out of our fancy clothes, then we watched a movie. We watched an Indian movie, and it was a lot of fun. We all fell asleep soon after.
That day was a lot of fun. I won my first game of the season, got to go to a beautiful recital, and i got to watch a movie with my family. It was a wonderful day!
